We took advantage of having family in town for the baptism and threw a fun 1st birthday party for Mac. As Grandma said, "Mac is the center of attention!" We all had fun gathered around watching Mac and rooting for him to tear into his own personal "smash cake". It took some coaxing and cheering but he got the hang of it. Thanks to everyone for coming in town and for the great birthday presents.

Baptism!

It was a beautiful day for a baptism. Mac's outfit is a hand-me-down from Phil! We have a picture of Phil wearing this outfit when he was a baby.

Here is the transcript of Phil's blessing for Mac:

Mac, your mom and I are humbled that the Lord has brought you in our lives. May God shower his blessings upon your life and we hope you will be able to sense him within your life. We pray that your life be a blessing through everything you do and that you will one day come to know God and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

The verse we have chosen for this blessing is Psalm 100, verse 3, “Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture."

Phil did a great job speaking in front of the church and Mac was the perfect baby! We are so thankful for you and love you, Mac!

Christmas: McCreary Style

We took in the lights at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Christmas Eve. NASCAR was born here, NASCAR belongs here!

We spent Christmas morning at home just hanging out and seeing what Santa brought us.

Then, it was off to the Ritz hotel where Grandfather and Grandma had a huge room full of presents!

We had a nice lunch at BLT in the Ritz. Mac loved their fluffy popovers!

Merry Christmas From the Family!

We celebrated Christmas with the Foshay's on the "Eve of Christmas Eve". Traditionally, Brian and I would spend the day begging Dad to let us open a couple gifts on the Eve of Christmas Eve. Dad doesn't really believe in opening gifts early so it was always fun to give him a hard time and he would usually give in. We would open gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Foshay because these gifts were usually strange (i.e. one year I got a sweatshirt with a chicken on it) and then one more we picked from under the tree. This year, Mac was the center of attention!!
